Dissensions The University of Illouria hires Rob Veenstra for his geological expertise to develop a new program. Several professors then tried to oust his department head. Rob and others support the head with whom Rob developed great rapport. The head could not handle successful people around him and suddenly asks Rob to leave Illouria. Rob refused. The university administration did nothing. Serious financial issues in the department prompted Illouria’s Board of Trustees to hold hearings. Rob testifies and fortuitously disclosed his problems with the head. The Board investigates and takes drastic action.

About the Author

George D. Klein George Klien is a geological consultant living in the greater Houston, TX, area. After earning his PhD form Yale, he worked for Sinclair Research, Inc, taught at three research universities (Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and Illinois @ Urbana-Champaign) and served as New Jersey State Sea Grant Director. He established his consulting company in 1996.
