I stumbled over this formulae when I went for a medication exam at the Columbia Presbyterian Hospital in New York City. I was not informed thatI would be doing a medication exam so I did not go over my medication calculation formulae. As any nurse would testify, if you cannot remember your medication calculation formulae, you are doomed to fail. Out of desperation, frustration and scratching my head, I tried this formula and it worked. I have been using this formulae since 1995 and it has been successful all the time. I have even modified and made it simple. This formulae is the best because it is based on a system. Just like any system, it is dependable and predictable. This will give nurses the assurance to do their work. But more importantly, it will give them the peace of mind to care for their patients. This is fun.

AUTOBIOGRAPHY My name is Samuel Amassah Djanie. I attended Bronx community College School of Nursing. I proceeded to City College for a B. Sc. In Biochemistry. I stumble over this method of medication calculation exam I took at Columbia Presbyterian Hospital in Manhattan, New York. I did not know I was going to take an exam so I did not revise my nursing calculation formulae. At that moment my back was to the wall. That would mean total failure for me. So I looked in the air, put my head down and came up with this method. I tried it and it worked. Since then I have tried it in all the exams I did in nursing and it worked wonders for every single problem. I decide to share this method which I hope will simplify medication calculation for all nurses and give them the peace of mind to care for their patients.
