About the Book

The Spirit of Whiskey River is a modern day love story wrapped in a century old murder mystery. Its primary setting is in a fictitious rural Alabama town (Whiskey River) and takes place in both 1910 and the current day. The link between these two times is made with the help of an elderly female Choctaw Indian by the name of Kalawih, who assists the main character (Jay Colebrook) in discovering the meaning of a series of déjà vu experiences that occur after he arrives in the small town by accident. While visiting the town, Jay starts to develop feelings for a local girl (Cheri Smith) who also seems to be developing similar feelings for him. The only problem is that she has an ex-boyfriend who would rather see Jay removed from the picture.
