About the Book

In this captivating, often humorous book, Mr. Civita expresses his opinion on thirty-four prominent topics, divided in five groups: society, family, politics, us, and sports.

On the first group, Mr. Civita’s spotlight moves from the ambiguous definition of Ambition and today’s healthcare problems, to his sarcastic view of gossip, stupidity, snobbism, and humanity’s misuse of its gift of speech.

On the second, he criticizes the excessive use of high-tech equipment by the young and the scarce time and attention that many parents dedicate to their children.

On politics, Mr. Civita examines the differences and similarities of liberals and conservatives, censures the pacifist attitude, and responds to the question of why so many people hate Americans.

On the fourth group, the author makes fun of hypochondriacs, superstitions, and soap operas, debates politeness, patience, optimism versus pessimism, and describes the dramatic life of a trauma surgeon.

The fifth and last group includes two satiric stories: how to win a soccer world cup and the tricks that can help you defeat a better tennis player.

Mr. Civita has succeeded in compiling appealing subjects, on which he offers his polemic and satiric view in this entertaining and witty book.
