About the Book

Hi, my name is Carole and I was born in a small town in Northern Calif. 60 years ago. I moved to the northwest when I was 4 years old, where I grew up in an even smaller town. I attended elementary and high school there. When I was 18, I moved to a bigger city and attended one and a half years of community college. This was the place where I had my one and only birth child, a boy I named Allen. However, I respectfully called him Alvin, because he was so mischievous and a lot of fun to be around. My Allen (Alvin) was very unique and always done things his way that always seemed to turn out right.

I lost him very unexpectedly in 2005, he was the inspiration for this book. When he was a small boy, I would make up bedtime stories for him and my little adopted daughter, Autumn. He would tell me to write them down.

I later would adopt two more boys Nathaniel and Dakota. I was a foster parent for 18 years and over that time, I took in about 35 boys, of-course at different times, my house was never empty, it still isn’t. Me and my two younger boys live in the country where they are growing up seeing all kinds of wild animals right in our backyard.

I have always loved to make up stories and write them down. I also write poetry. I love to see the pattern of the words as they flow together. It is almost like the words are dancing.
