About the Book

Susie is a young girl that loves to hang out with her mom. Their favorite pastime was going to the park to swing. Susie’s mom was diagnosed with cancer and at that point their life wasn’t the same. Susie goes through the struggles and emotions with her mom as she goes through cancer treatments. There is hope and Susie finds out that she and her mother will swing again! 25% of this books proceeds will be donated to the National Foundation for Cancer Research.

About the Author

Carol LaBelle-Ehrhardt is a survivor. She was diagnosed with breast cancer in December of 2006. She went through two surgeries, seven weeks of radiation, and 16 weeks of chemotherapy. This is her first children’s book. She wanted to try and help children that have parents struggling with cancer. Even though there isn’t anything positive about cancer, she wanted to let them know that there is hope and that it is alright to go through all the different emotions that they might feel. Her goal was to shed a more positive light on a disease that has affected so many people. After her battle with cancer, she wanted to give back to cancer research so is donating 25% of the proceeds to the National Foundation for Cancer Research.
