I’m Robert Chaffee, a retired policeman, husband, father, and grandfather. This is the story of the Love of my life, Judie--how we met, courted, married and lived in harmony and mutual love for 47 years and still going strong. It is also a tribute to her patience and courage, her faith and commitment, her strength of mind and soul, her dedication to her family, and her positive spirit in suffering. By telling her story, perhaps it will inspire families to persevere, encourage them to keep up their spirits, and never give up hope for a better tomorrow. May the efforts of generous and wonderful people like Jerry Lewis lead to successful research and a cure for the ravishes of Muscular Dystrophy.
