Cycles of a Marriage: The Poetry Within

About the Book

We all know that marriage is an institution and with that powerful description comes many cycles. Unbreakable interlocking cycles of Love, Desire, Passion, Friendship, Sex, Money, Children, Crying, Lying, Dying and Surviving. The poetry within a marriage is dynamic when you really listen. The rhyme and rhythm of each cycle can be smooth as silk or rough and rocky. Learning to recognize and respond to each cycle takes practice. This book is my perception of 21 years of practicing to hear the poetry within my marriage.

About the Author

Anita Ray, 39 year old wife and mother of two. HR Professional by trade and ‘wanna” be poet by dream. My desire to write poetry developed much later in my life. Mainly due to lack of exposure, but once the door opened I jumped through. My marriage has been my greatest source of inspiration. One that I hope will remain for years to come. The relationship between a husband and wife is very emotional, yet fascinating. I enjoy writing about our challenges. It’s very freeing and answers the questions: Now what? Where do I go from here? Then I remember, it’s just one of the cycles.
