About the Author

Margaret Mitchell Bernard was born in Montreal, Quebec, educated in Quebec and has spent most of her life working in the field of education in that province. Kate is a real little girl discovered when Ms. Bernard began the search for her Mitchell family ancestors. The search for her ancestors has led Ms. Bernard to write books for children with the hope that they will be encouraged to investigate their own family ancestry. This is the second book in the "KATE" series the first being "KATE AND THE FAMILY TREE." Kate’s journey of discovery continues as she encounters one of the wee folks that inhabit the mystical world. Ms. Bernard presently lives in Bonaventure, Quebec with her dog Maggie, a Yorkshire Terrier.
