This trek through the twentieth century by a man who has lived life to the hilt. Henry Reichner has painted a wide pallet as he strides and glides through the years—sheltered child of the Roaring twenties, callow youth of the Great Depression, career marine of three wars and business and civic leader. Horseman, self-taught sailor, churchman, lover, gardener, writer, dreamer, husband, and father are mixed in with duty, service to country, and community spiced with a bit of romance, intrigue, dedication, people problems, and just plain living. An autobiographical novel at its best.

About the Author

Henry (a.k.a. “Hank”) Reichner, a native Philadelphian, is a man of many careers, and many parts. While this is his first major opus, he has through the years, written articles for professional magazines and news papers as well as unpublished papers dealing with such things as U.S. Russian Relations and Vietnam. He was moved to write this autobiography because he has lived so long and seen so much. Henry and his wife, Judy, alternate their time between Philadelphia and their refuge in Dingman’s Ferry, PA, where he builds dry stone walls.
