I am a girl who always wanted to be validated about my worth. I always wanted to be told I was pretty, loved, and special, but instead, I was always looked down upon by my peers (the kids who did not like me) and family. I always wanted to be light-skinned like all the popular kids were. Also, for my father to tell me that he loved me. It used to be my dream to be seen, but for some reason, I was heard instead. I want people to know that I made a positive learning out of all the negative experiences in my life.
