About the Book

Hi my name is Serenity. What you see is what you get. There’s no if and or but’s about it, or beating around the bush. I tell it like it is, the way it is, and how it’s going to be. Whatever I want I get and nobody steps in my way of getting it. You see before I became who I am today I had to come to terms with my demons. I started out at the age of sixteen getting to know Tavia, Fatima and Sharell. These girls were my home girls, or so I thought, but there was no one truer than Tavia. Tavia helps me calm down and come back to reality until one day our lives take a twisted turn to hell from the easy going life which consists of school and a two parent home to the drug game. This is my story and I’m bringing it to you cut throat. Not sugar coating nothing because the game aint sugar coated. That’s just who I am and the way it is. Sit down and take a deep breath because this ride is much more wicker than any damn rollercoaster. I’m taking you all the way.

About the Author

La-Toya Ellington was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, she was exposed to the street life at a young age. Though her parents tried to keep her away from the fast life it wasn’t an easy road, with them living in the projects and having it wrapped around her everyday as she went to school. Although she graduated from High School moved on to study accounting and receiving high honors, she still yearned for that life. Finally she had her first taste of the street life after leaving home as her own decision and dabbling in it to only find out things ain’t always what it seems to be. After having her share in what she craved she noticed she had a creative writing gift. Therefore taking notice to what she just discovered, she decided to use it to broaden her goals and write books whether its children, romance or urban street novels she did it. Whatever came to mind she made it come to life on paper. Most of the things you read in her works are the things she actually lived, but she loves leaving it to the reader’s imagination to figure out what’s true and what’s fiction. Whenever you pick up one of her many novels to come you will be left with satisfaction and a yearn for more as she had when she craved for more.
