About the Author

Fbuchanana is Frances Buchanan, native of Charleston, West Virginia. Her poetry is inspired by nature, her pets and her Christianity. As one who has an interest in Health Promotion, her villanelles embrace the plight of women and all victims of violent crimes. The established format of the villanelle genre includes a theme in which death is the concluding element. The free verse is prayerful and the Haiku brief and insightful. This is the first book of verse for Ms. Buchanan. Her other interests include her “day job” with the State of West Virginia and part time work during weekends. Her degrees from West Virginia University include a Bachelor of Science degree in Landscape Architecture and a MS in Community Health Promotion, which she received later in life. Her goals include more writing and working in Adult Education and Community Health.
