About the Book

Each poem has a story. The poems in this book have been written through the ages from when I was sixteen to my present age of thirty. I name my book Secrets of my Heart because the poems have never been shared before to anyone except two or three people. They were my private thoughts that I never thought of even sharing. But they do no good sitting on a shelf. I hope that people reading my book can relate to some of my situations and realize that some of us share the same stories. We share the same pain, hurt, sadness, anger, and happiness. Some of us are just not able to put our feelings down in words on paper. For those of you that can relate to any of my poems, you are not alone. Somewhere out there, someone else is feeling the same way. Sometimes it’s just nice to know that you’re not the only one. And a special thank-you to each person who has purchased my book.

About the Author

I was born March 27th of 1980, in Lincoln, Nebraska. I have 2 older sisters. I have 2 boys, Curtis who is 9, and Anthony who is 6. Ever since I was a teenager, I have always wanted to write. Writing my feelings came very easy for me. It was a way to help me release my anger, or sadness in a way that best suited me. Growing up life was not easy for me. But everyone's life has their own story. This book is my story. It is my words, my feelings, and is who I am. Every poem in this book, is from true events that I have experienced. Or feelings that I had at the time the poem was wrote. Other poems are about friends and family and their real life.
