About the Book
This book contains 23 letters written from the front in France during the First World War to his family by Fritz Becker, starting March 18, 1915 to November 10, 1915. The young soldier started his military service as a healthy, optimistic young man of twenty years of age. He became engaged in the historic battles in West Flanders on French soil. Between battles and moves, he wrote to his family about the events and his feelings.

Renate Becker Renate Becker translated the letters into English and assembled text and picture Helmut Becker-Wildenroth, Co-Author Helmut Becker–Wildenroth transcribed the letters and postcards handwritten on faded paper and added explanations to the events.
