About the Author

I Barbara Motley was reared in New Jersey.I came into the world with a creative spirit. At the age of eight I tapped into my creativey.My teachers in elementary school would have me to Decorate the windows for each holiday with paint. After high school I went to the Art Institute of Pittsburgh where I major in Fashion Illustration before attending The Fashion Institute Of Technology in Manhattan, New York. After four years of school I work for a small magazine I was the illustrator and columnist. Happening Magazine out of East Orange ,NJ. I also promoted several Fashion Shows where I would design some of the garments as well I work with some of the top models. I tour Paris France and Milano,Italy My art work has been displayed in my States. I displayed work in art exhibits. Sold many. Designed poster and tee shirt for Anheuser Bush in 1982 for the Black Heritage Day Parade. Illustrated Flip Charts for Blue Cross and Blue Shield in the mid 1990’s. LIFE goes goes on I want more so I go to NY, NY and seek work in the garment district. I work in the garment district in the design area for many years and many companies. Im older more mature so I registered a design business B*M*A*D*E*E stands for Best Made Art Design Entrepreneur Education. I design tee shirts ,tote bags, jeans and More. I also was a volunteer at The Pocono Medical Center in Stroudsburg ,PA. and at Beth Israel Hospital in Newark where I illustrated a poster for (ROAR ) Reach Out And Read. I was honored by Who’s Who Of Madison ,I a won blue ribbon for a graphic drawing. I taught as a Substitute Teacher for Irvington Board of Education. I went back to school to enhance my computer skills I attend Essex County College for Digital Media Electronic which I obtain a certification. This Book Is In The Memory Of My Mother LAURA V MOTLEY my clothing line is A division of B*M*A*D*E*E named for my mother I dedicate this first book to my sister LILLIAN MOTLEY.
