About the Book

This is a story of unprecedented friendship, brotherly bond, and sacrifice between Raja, a student from India, and his American college roommate, Tom. Raja comes to America with the aspiration of acquiring higher education and reuniting with his childhood sweetheart, Soma. As he suffers heart-breaking disappointment from her, Tom and his girlfriend Sheila come to the rescue. Their inspiring support helps Raja overcome his misery. As he tries to move forward with his life, he often finds it difficult not to think about Soma. A common belief in life values, however, gradually transforms Raja’s friendship with Tom into a deep brotherly bond, and that bond strengthens even after Tom gets married and becomes a police officer. In the shocking narrative climax, the true might of their bond is revealed when Raja finds his wounded American brother in mortal danger.
