About the Book

In We Are All Related, A Magical Raven Story, Magical Raven intrudes on Native American children’s story telling time beneath the old grandfather cottonwood tree near a Northern Plains Indian village. He has come to remind the people of the world that all peoples and all creatures of the earth are related. He calls upon us to teach this basic Indian belief to everyone. Raven concludes by predicting that a magical time is coming to the earth when we all shall live together in love, peace and harmony. In this charming, whimsical, beautifully illustrated story, along with the Raven, horses, buffalo, elk, deer, bears, bunnies, raccoons, foxes, squirrels, birds, turtles, fish, and insects appear with multi-cultural kids, a few adults, and Mother Nature.

About the Author

Candace W. Head expresses her love of Mother Nature, the Indian people and their culture through her watercolor paintings. She says, “I want others to see the beauty and dignity of these people and to recognize our oneness.” She lives in a 67-year old log cabin in a small mountain community called Story, in the foothills of Wyoming’s Big Horn Mountains. Candace, a self-taught artist, began watercolor painting in 1994 following a 16-year, highly successful career in quiltmaking. Her quilts have won many ribbons including Best of Show at the Houston Quilt Festival (known as the World’s Fair of Quilts), have been shown in Europe, have appeared on the covers of national quilt magazines, in calendars, address books, and on greeting cards. Her quilts and paintings are in corporate and private collections across the country.
