When I was in my senior year of high school, 1946, I enjoyed sitting along the river that was nearby. The peace and quiet was most welcome and my free time was well spent watching ducks. It was here that I penned ‘Early Morn’. Since then, especially in later years, my thoughts evolved towards writing poetry. It is my sincere wish that you, dear reader, find pleasure from within these covers as I did in its composition.
