About the Book

This book introduces fundamental mathematical discoveries that resolve longstanding problems. Only elementary algebra is needed to understand the concepts. Despite the importance and validity of the rejected equation cited in the title, it is not the exclusive concern of this work, and instead is superseded by treatment of equally important related subjects.

Four major mathematical issues are analyzed and resolved; the mutual multiplication of negative numbers in production of positive products; the squaring of negative numbers as distinguished from the multiplication of negative numbers; an alternative treatment of negative numbers; and finally, a real-number solution for the square root of negative numbers. A new axiomatized system that incorporates these developments concludes the book.
