About the Book
I’m Bright Too; written for children, their parents, and teachers; is a practical application of the principles of multiple intelligences. Children will relate to the main character, Marilyn, who knows she is bright but is never affirmed at school for her intelligence. Parents and teachers, who consider intelligence only relevant to the strictly academic subjects, will gain insights into children’s feelings when their unique intelligence is ignored. The illustrations of Sumer Canterbury, (her first professional work) uniquely capture Marilyn’s feelings, and tell the story along with the text. The illustrations and text will promote reading skills in young children.
