About the Author

You may not have heard the name Ramona Alpern before, but you certainly have heard her voice. Ramona’s voice was one of the first to be automated and used for phone directory assistance. Ramona has a Master’s degree in Speech Pathology and has taught Speech from college to pre-school. As her students moved up on the academic ladder, she moved down. She received the Best Actress award in the Radio/TV Department at Northwestern University and has been heard in hundreds of Radio and TV commercials. Her philosophy of life has become her motto: “It’s better to laugh than cry.”
