About the Author

The author was born in a U.S. Air Force hospital and was fourteen years old when the school structure was built on Gilmore Field. Childhood memories include playing with siblings on Gilmore Field, hearing a lot about Lyman Gilmore Jr., and meeting some people who knew him.
