About the Book
Summary about the book: The Traveling Man (The Saddest Man on Earth) is the story of man’s journey in search of Happiness. Since this book was initially conceived as an inspirational book for adult readers, author attempted to focus on shapes to translate it to the reading level of children ages 0 to 6 and used colorful illustrations to capture their interests. As it is presented in a wholistic approach, the teacher/adult can used this book as a tool to help older children explore on other areas of learning like science, geography, and character education.
About the Author
About the Author: Teresita Castillo- Cristal was born in the Philippines, spent her elementary and high school years in St. Theresa’s Academy, a Catholic school run by the Sisters of the Good Shepherd. She attended University of Sto. Tomas for a year and earned her Bachelors of Arts Major in English at the University of the East. She taught English in college for four years while attending graduate school taking up higher English courses. Then she went into teaching English in high school until she migrated with her family to the United States in June 1993. In the US, she began a new chapter in her teaching career as a preschool teacher.
