About the Book

Christianity as seen through the eyes of the first Christians offers a liberating and transforming perspective on the meaning of the life of Jesus. Through the disciple’s dedication to spreading the word of their teacher, we are given the path to discovery for our own personal transformation.

The Bible and other spiritual texts serve as guide books for the mythic traveler’s journey to the sacred rites of the soul. This humanistic perspective on the life of Jesus probes the basic questions of Christianity. One is lead on a journey of discovery as myth, mystery and fact are examined through a mosaic of scriptures, early Christian writings, and eye witness accounts.

About the Author

Sophie McGee is an artist, poet, musician, and therapist who has practiced and taught for twenty years. She has a master’s degree in counseling from Southwestern College in Santa Fe, New Mexico, as well as continued graduate studies in art therapy. Sophie is also a certified hypnotherapist and regression therapist, with additional studies in Gestalt therapy and archetypal psychology. She started an art center in Fairfax, Virginia where she also wrote a popular newspaper column on spiritual living. She has lectured nationally on the subject of reincarnation and was a spokesperson for the national organization of NAMI. Currently, she resides in Santa Fe, New Mexico and is working on her next project called “A Room of Their Own”. This is a place for underprivileged and gang involved youth to get the support and additional resources needed to help them live happy and successful lives. Sophie is also working on a doctorate in theology through the Graduate Theological Foundation at Oxford University, England.
