About the Author

C. Arturo Yañez (PhD, University of Iowa) has taught disciplinary reading and writing for over 20 years. He is currently Interim Department Head of Foreign Languages and International Studies at Arkansas Tech University (Russellville), following two decades of teaching English as a Foreign Language at the Universidad de Los Andes (Mérida, Venezuela). A former Editor of the foreign-language journal Entre Lenguas, Dr. Yañez has received international recognition as a leader in foreign-language teaching. In addition to his on-going research in the field, Dr. Yañez has authored and co-authored several book chapters and journal articles.
