About the Book

Set in Fayetteville, NC, a clean-living, deeply spiritual young girl from Omaha, Nebraska who aspires to become a nun, is deceptively lured from her religious life and loving family by an old boy friend, then a soldier at Fort Bragg, into a life of sin, cocaine use, stripping, and prostitution. She is later accused of murdering her five-year-old illegitimate daughter and defended by a young, idealistic, and spiritually-oriented public defender. While representing her and searching for the real murderer, the lawyer and his client eventually fall in love. The story contains several surprising twists, strong emotional and suspenseful situations, and ironic outcomes.
