About the Author
A Note from the Author: I traveled for a year in a motorhome across the United States with my cat, Monty, and my Shih Tzu, Tootsie. Originally from Southern Indiana, I now reside in Berks County, Pennsylvania. My experience as a newspaper reporter, travel agent and librarian have prepared and inspired me to write this book. Monty was adopted in Indianapolis, Indiana while attending a family gathering at the Indianapolis 500 race in May of 2000. Everyone wanted to know what would be the name of the cute kitten? It was decided he would be named after the winner of the race. We eagerly watched the race to see who would be the kitten’s namesake. The winner was Juan Pablo Montoya. That is a long name for a cat, so it was shortened to Monty. Everyone knows that cats do not like to travel. “Monty, The Traveling Cat” is based on the true story of his experiences in the motorhome. While traveling and seeing sights across the United States, he transformed from being a scaredy-cat to being a traveling cat. I hope this story inspires everyone to not be afraid of traveling new places or trying something new for they may be the best experiences of your life. Enjoy “Monty, The Traveling Cat”. B. J. Moesner
