Transition, Thoughts and Inspirations

About the Book

This is the second book that I have written and several of my friends have been asking me when the next book would be out. Well, here it is. I began to talk with soldiers prior to my retirement and ask them to tell me some of the things that were on their minds, that they would like me to discuss in this book. Although I did not get to all of them in this book, I did get to quite a few. Just know that the third book is already in the works. That is where the part of my title "Inspirations" comes from. "Transition" comes from the fact that this book was begun when I transitioned from the military service to the civilian work force. "Thoughts" is just what it says. Those moments I get to go down to a waterfront with my pen and pad, wait, listen, and write. I am not sure of the title of my next poetry book yet, but I will let God do what He do! About the Author

This, being my first attempt at writing a novel has been a blessed experience and very therapeutic for me. I have held in a lot of things over the years, but God has blessed me with a way to let it out and eventually, let it go. Just in case you did not notice in the title of this book, the name D’lanor is my first name spelled backwards with a hyphen and Brown is the color of my skin. I may have been raised in Foster Homes but the Holy Bible tells me that when I accepted Christ in my life, that the spirit of fear and bondage were gone and that I have now received the Spirit of Adoption…. (Romans 8:15) It is a beautiful thing just knowing that you are a member of a Royal family and you don’t have to brag about it at all. I am taken care of by the King of Kings and no matter what happens to me on any given day, I know whose hands I am in and with that knowledge, I am able to stand!
