About the Author
Dr. Mehran Ferdowsian is the founder of Nur Management Solutions and a co-author of The Handbook of High-Performing Virtual Teams—A Toolkit for Collaborating Across Boundaries. He has worked in the high-tech industry for 25 years. As an engineering manager, he led an organization that was distributed between the U.S., Malaysia, and Costa Rica. He was also responsible for the development of mission-critical factory computer systems that helped to ramp Intel Corporation’s factories worldwide. As a people and organizational manager, he was responsible for workforce and organizational development; global staffing, training, and instructional design; and effective business operations. He has worked and/or lived internationally in Costa Rica, Malaysia, and Grenada W.I, and the Middle East. His work has also taken him to several other countries such as Australia, Japan, China, Israel, and the Philippines. His doctoral dissertation and other research efforts were primarily focused on the development of a sustainable pattern of high performance and superior business results. This research resulted in the development of an ethical and high-performing business community.
