About the Author

About The Author Montanette Traveann Harrison Hendricks was born November 1958 in Bath, Maine to the late Sgt. Hildred Harrison and Ernestine Thomas Harrison. She has two siblings. Being a military family, they moved quite a bit during Montanette’s younger years. The family finally settled in Greensboro, NC where Montanette graduated from Page Sr. High School. She went on to attend Winston Salem State College and continued at A&T State University and graduated Summa Cum Laude. Montanette was offered a scholarship to go to Ohio State to receive her master’s degree but turned it down to marry her high school sweetheart. Later in life, she received her master’s degree. She has been teaching for the last 20 years. September 6, 1980 she was wed to her husband who has been her husband for the last 28 years. “One in A Million Chance of a Life Time” is about her life as a wife and how she thought her husband was going to be that one in a million, to only find out her dreams were smashed not once but many times. Through love, hate, disappointments and hurt she found Christ to be her one in a million and she continues to fall in love with him more and more each day. Christ has taught her to love her husband in spite of her dreams, desires and their differences. To that, union was given three wonderful children. Her trials and struggles have made her stronger and for that, she says thanks to her husband.
