Remembrances From My Voyage of Self Discovery or My Long Drive by Joel Maxey documents a road trip taken by the author down thru Mexico, Central, and South America in 1975-76. This book is written in the form of a log/essay and covers all of the major events and adventures that he experienced along the way.

It follows the author through the most dynamic and memorable time period in his life. Starting with the trips original genesis, into its preparation period, and finally through the five-and-a-half months of constant determination and courage required for its execution. At various points along the way my ´trip´ became a ´journey´ and then finally ´My Voyage of Self Discovery´.

This book also chronicles the authors passage from a conventionally oriented way of life into one of passion, action, adventure, and risk taking.

About the Author

Joel Maxey is a semi-retired computer programmer and consultant presently living in Bullhead City, Arizona. He has previously written several short stories that have appeared in trade publications and local newspapers. This is his first venture into Publishing a book.
