About the Book
Fierce Memories is an inspirational account of a young
man’s life that was forever changed by the civil strife in the
small country of Liberia. The author takes you on a journey
through the darkness of war and the power of evil. Experience
the journey of a man as he is transformed from an innocent
college student, to a prisoner of war, to a general for the NPFL,
and fi nally to a minister of the gospel and advocate for peace
and justice.
This engaging story is about the young Ernest Urey and the
struggles of living through the Liberian civil war. This tragic
time in history left families starving, children homeless, and
a country in economic ruin. The story of the inner workings
of this uprising has never before been fully told by an
individual who was on the inside.
For the fi rst time, you can see how greed, corruption, and
evil destroyed a small and promising nation and how one
man is determined to bring hope, peace, and unity back to
his homeland.
Fierce Memories will touch your heart.
