About the Book
Everyone has a different threshold for what they would consider to be traumatic. Hate crimes, being followed in a store because of your skin color, being racially profiled while driving, being neglected or abandoned by your parents. Parents choosing to run the streets instead of being home with you, sexual abuse, incest, being stalked, being bullied, and being ostracized by family because of your choice of mate. Teachers may have labeled you as stupid, people constantly called you fat and lazy. Your skin may not be perfectly clear and people call you nasty names because of it. Having miscarriages, abortions, or children dying accidentally or because of illness or crimes can be so hurtful. There is a lot of pain associated with these things. There are numerous ways that you could have been hurt. People and events hurt you and you may have never dealt with it. We will go through the process of trying to recover from that hurt. This book is just one tool to help you reclaim your life and stop allowing past hurts to dictate your present behavior. You will see that you can forgive, you can move past your pain into a place so much more pleasant and peaceful. You will be able to sleep in peace and walk with your head high knowing that you have moved on; using your past to propel you into a fabulous future!
