About the Author

ML Lavallee started writing at the age of five in Monroe, Oregon; sharing her stories with her sister, who in turn would write a story for her to read in exchange. At the age of eighteen ML Lavallee joined the US Army Active Duty as a Military Police Officer, where she learned that words were more powerful than any weapon issued to her by the Army. Now, a veteran of the US Army, and encouraged from her family, ML Lavallee has started to publish the stories that she used to tell her daughters when they were little and stationed with her all over the world on different Army Bases, as English language books were often hard to find for them to read. She now lives in America’s Heartland with her two daughters Kenny and Jo, and her Canadian Native American husband Timothy, where she continues to write stories about the animals and people she fell in love with over her long travels in the Army.
