About the Book

The novel "Butterflies of Love" is about true love, and how to find true love and hold on to it at any price. It is very different from many other romantic novels, which end with the main characters telling each other: "I love you!" And you assume that they will be forever happy. That's wrong. In real life every other married couple in America ends up in a nasty divorce. You wonder what the hell happened after they told each other "I love you". The love disappeared and the "flame of love" died. The novel "Butterflies of Love" starts with "I love you" and shows in a realistic way what happens after that and how to keep the flame of love burning hot for many years. It isn't easy, but it can be done. The main characters Peter and Jennie, Ray and Jennifer, and Alex and Emmy, three young couples in love fight like hell with the rest of the world and stay deeply in love. It is a long, tough journey for each one of them on the road to true love. On a different level this book is a hybrid of literature where reality, fantasy, and imagination meet. It is a book about butterflies and love: both "real butterflies" that fly in the air and emotional butterflies that go to your heart, "butterflies of love". It is also a book about using the power of your imagination for both: love making and creating new things like solar cars. And I don't mean science-fiction type of solar cars, but real solar cars that you can build yourself in your garage.
