Mike Bowman Mike recently retired from teaching Physical Education, and as the Head Football coach from Taconic Hills High School. During his tenure at Taconic Hills, Mike became the winningest Football and Baseball coach in School History. The 1988 Football team went undefeated and was awarded the number one ranking for small schools in all of New York State. Mike was awarded with the States Coach of the Year award. A 1968, graduate of Emporia State University, Mike has spent many summers in his beloved Adirondacks. It is here that the inspiration of Mike’s 1st literary attempt was born. Was there something else that inspired you to write this book Mike? His reply was: “I had an urge to write this book. It has been in my head for many years. I don’t know what has pushed me on to write it. You know, it could be the “Spirit of Whiteface” Mike lives in upstate New York, with his wife Vinessa and their son Severin. They travel, in their spare time to their property, at just about the foot of Whiteface Mountain.
