About the Author

I was born Cynthia D. Jaurdon in Baton Rouge, LA in July of 1956; becoming a Simmons after the union to my late husband Julius, in Charleston, S.C.(1993). I am the proud mother of beautiful daughter-Tyquincia and handsome-Andrew. I began writing years before I married, but during trying times in marriage, I often told Julius he would someday make me a wealthy woman. You see, what I thought was just a hobby; I later learned it would also encourage others in their walk in life. God gave me this name “Divinely Inspired” during my stay in the Carolinas as an avenue to express my creative writing, line of greeting cards, and Christian tee-shirts, etcetera. However, I have chosen to also use it for the title of my first book of poetry. We all have encountered hardships in life and needed the guidance of the Holy Spirit to endure. Mostly, just needing Gods’ presence to live day by day and survive those times. I pray this book will be a blessing and encourage you as you read its contents.
