About the Book

The Author chronicles the episodes in his life of growing up in Miami, serving as a radio operator at sea during World War II, going to college at Florida State University to receive a Master's Degree in physics,having a career in Naval Research, learning servanthood in church, raising a family and developing a farm in the Panhandle of Florida.


About the Author

Calvin Koesy is a retired electronic engineer from the U.S. Naval Coastal Systems Center in Panama City FL. He retired in January 1982 after a 31 year career in Research and Development. During that period his special assignments included serving as Head of the Engineering and Coastal Warfare Departments. During the Vietnam War he served as Science Advisor of the Commander of Naval Forces in Vietnam. He authored a number of scientific papers and reports. He holds a patent on a system for locating the position of underwater towed vehicles. He had a concurrent career as an Engineering Officer in the U.S. Naval Reserve retiring with the rank of Commander. He holds a Bachelor and Master of Science Degrees from Florida State University with a major in physics. Calvin was born and reared in Miami, Florida and is married to the former Annie Lou Allen of Panama City, Florida. Together they four grown children; Barbara Jean, Elizabeth Ann, Charles Walter and Nelah Rose. They have seventeen grandchildren. In retirement they operate a 120 acre farm producing pulpwood and purebred Charolais cattle.
