About the Book
Crisis in the World Next Door
It is an innocent excursion, but one which will have unanticipated—and far-reaching—consequences. It starts out as an enjoyable vacation adventure, an idyllic journey which carries the party of children through exotic and picturesque locations. But there are hints that sinister affairs may lie ahead, lurking somewhere just beyond the horizon.
Shortly after reaching Ipthel Groscht, the travelers endure a sudden, heartbreaking tragedy—followed immediately by a series of mind-numbing developments which turn their lives completely (and literally) upside down. They soon learn that there is far more to the World than even the Guardians suspect: places, people, and beings beyond their wildest imaginings. Included among these are some potential allies who might well be able to offer them new hope of finding a way back to Earth. To this end, the Earthlings soon embark on yet another expedition, one that will ultimately carry them halfway around the World. Their goal: to locate a wondrous being who may well have the ability to solve their predicament concerning the Hole in the Universe.
Ever since they first found themselves trapped in this world, the Earthlings have longed desperately to find a way to get back home. Now, as they renew their endeavors to do so, they will encounter adventure, danger, intrigue, and deception. Before all is said and done, their quest will bring them face to face with embodiments of both Good and Evil. And ultimately they will be forced to assess their role in helping to bring about a disastrous war: a war which will culminate in an apocalyptic confrontation between the forces of Light and Darkness, the outcome of which will determine the fate of an entire world.
