About the Book

It was the late 1870s, and a sleepy little town in Bailey County, Tennessee, would witness the beginning of a new era in hometown heroes. As the twins Emily and Alyssa grew up on their family’s jelly bean farm, they would be part of a strange and wonderful lifelong odyssey of adventure, mystery, and world travel. They would soon become America’s new heroes. Are you ready to find out what the commotion was on the playground at school? What will happen when everyone discovers they have strange creatures living near their quiet little town? Will Emily and Alyssa be ready when they are finally put to the test? Well, hold on to your teddy bear and grab some jelly beans because you’re about to enter into the world of the Possum Riders!

About the Author

Mr. Marlow is a freelance writer, author, artist, and published poet. He is also a member of the New Prague Arts Council and past member of the Troy State University Creative Writing Club. One of his poems and artwork were featured in the first publication of The Copper Blade Review in 1994, at Troy State University. He is also a U.S. Navy veteran and has recently won awards for his poetry from the Veterans Administration. Mr. Marlow is also a graduate of George C. Wallace State Community College where he received his A. S. and A. A. degrees, and in 1993, he graduated from Troy State University with a B. S. degree in Education.
