This book may be typical of many African American families. This book goes back to the early 19th century to contemporary times. It touches on some of the high social and emotional involvement of family members. It gives some hint of events in two of this country’s 20th century international confl icts.
About the Author
The writer Laranch Eddings accepted the fact that we are on a journey. He focused on the three questions of GOING somewhere. The words are where are we going, how we are going to get there and the end result of our life travel. It is based on a belief in the ability that each of us can make a positive difference in our home and community. He was one of eleven children born to Jim Henry and Patsie Eddings. They moved from Texas to Oklahoma when Laranch was one month old. They lived in Oklahoma until he was ten than moved to Yuma, Arizona. He entered the navy in 1943. Laranch served in World War two, Korean Confl ict and Vietnam War. He served as a Corpsman with the Marine Core. He attended San Diego State University, Hayward State University, University of Southern California, Linda Vista Bible College, and Alliant international University (United States International University) in San Diego. He earned an AB, BA, MRE, MA, and Psy.D. Dr. Eddings worked as an Educational Psychology, Drug Rehabilitation psychologist, Marriage and Family Counselor and License Professional Counselor in California and Alabama for more than thirty years.
