About the Book

Being a Christian involves beliefs and corresponding behavior as specified in the scriptures. In this book is instruction in these fundamental truths. There aren’t many, but a knowledge and application of each is critical to living in obedience to God as demonstrated by Jesus Christ and empowered by the Holy Spirit. The author did not intend for this work to be the end of further study. Rather, it should serve as a mere beginning. It’s a primer, of sorts, a brief introduction of basic concepts, culminating with “Salvation,” the supreme theme of the Bible. Throughout, Dr. Stuckey has referred extensively to scripture to verify his explanations of the meaning of Christianity. Of essence is that a disciple of Christ does not have the option to “pick and choose” what he decides to believe and practice, and that “love” the noun must become “love” the verb.
