The Little Captain

About the Book

The “Little Captain” is the true story of a 10 year old boy in 1950’s South East Georgia. While the story actually continues for several years and through high school, it is based on one summer’s activities.

About the Author

C. W. Van Buren holds a BBA from the University of Georgia. After moving from S. E. Georgia in the late 1950’s and finishing high school, he served four years in the US Army. After a fulfilling business career, he is now retired. His passion is writing short stories and poetry. He and his wife of 43 years have returned to live in S. E. Georgia.
