About the Author

About the Author Eric Hughes was born and raised in Perth Amboy, New Jersey, the youngest son of immigrants from the tiny Caribbean island of Anguilla. After graduating from high school, he entered the U.S. Air Force, where he was trained in the fields of cryptography and teletype. Following an honorable discharge, he moved to Washington, D.C. where he began his 35-year civilian government career, throughout which he earned numerous awards and commendations for his outstanding performance. Hughes holds a B.S degree in Community Planning and Development from the University of the District of Columbia, and a Master of Public Administration degree from American University.
