About the Book

The majority of the poems I have written are inspired by my life experiences and how I view the world. I started writing poetry at nine years old. Most of my poems rhyme. I have been a rap artist since nine years old, so my poetry has a music vibe to it. I can honestly say I put my whole soul into this book. Expecially the last section of my book, August Nights. My brother Talib commited sucide last August. Right after his death I wrote everyday about him. I had to do something with the extreme pain and sorrow. Seems like my family and I have suffered so much that it makes life appear to be more difficult then it should. I´ve been poor most of my life, and lost dreams so very early. This along with much pain and suffering from Bipolar disorder from age seventeen has made me into the writer I am today. Life will get better when you believe. Belive! And thou shall have.

About the Author

I started writing poetry at a very early age. Like a lot of artists I needed to express myself and found that writing poetry was an awesome way of getting my emotions and thoughts onto paper. I think writing poetry is my first love even though my passion also goes hand and hand with fiction writing. This book follows three stages in my life broken up into three books. I used my heart to talk for me for my life has been a rocky road covered with snow. As long as I have a pen and a pad I can connect with the world. I put this book together for myself and others who can relate and need to use my words to express their selves in a time of grief, pain, joy, happiness, confusion, and especially love, which is the focus of my whole book. I write not only for myself but for people young or old, men or women, who struggle with life and death, love and hate, madness and beauty. I hope all who read my poetry can take something from it. I thank God for the gift he gave me to write and share it with everyone who reads it.
