About the Author

Valerie G. Barthelus was born in Irvington, New Jersey and relocated with her parents, Jean D. Monvilus and Marcia Noel-Delinois, and her oldest sister, Patricia Barthelus-Corbin and two younger brothers Jean and Dorson Monvilus to Florida in 1985. She liked animals but when she met her 7-week-old pit bull named King, she fell in love. She did however, always have a passion for writing since she was in the 5th grade and has been writing ever since. She has a published article in Article Base.com called Burglarized. She also has recognized short stories and poems on fanstory.com. Her (nom de plume) or pen name is Anointed Pawz. She graduated from the Institute of Children's Literature in 2010. When King passed away, Donavan Miller, Monique Moses, Thalia West, and Angel Aviles and encouraged her to share King's escapades with dog lovers around the world, Valerie jumped at the opportunity. She is very excited about publishing her first children's book!
