About the Book

Bonbon Blue is a pretty little girl with one small – green - problem. She just found Myrtle, the cutest little turtle, who seems to have no one to take care of her. Bonbon’s mother would definitely say “No!” to let her keep Myrtle, because Bonbon’s brother has allergies. Besides, Mother is busy helping The Key Lime Candies Club™ clean up the old Key Lime Beachfront Resort in Key Largo, where they are all vacationing. The owner, Miss Divinity Silver, is in a wheelchair now and cannot keep it tidy anymore. Bonbon just HAS to find Myrtle’s mother fast!

About the Author

Born in Kansas to a story telling, schoolteacher father and doll-making mother, Debbie Sue’s family soon moved 1,800 miles to the colorful Key West, Florida, where she grew up. The sub-tropical island’s Latin flavor, and pervasive spirit of acceptance of diversity, strongly influenced her. She attended Florida Keys Community College, and then transferred to Wichita State University in Kansas. She graduated with honors, with a BA in Psychology, and minors in Biology and Spanish. Deborra lives with her retired-firefighter husband in the Florida Keys. She loves to travel to New Jersey to spoil her three adorable grandchildren.
