About the Author

I was born in Little Rock, Arkansas and have been writing since a young age. Recognition came when I was awarded the Poet of the Year award by The International Society of Poets in 1999, and then received 1st place in the Young Author’s Contest for Northern Louisiana in 2003. Born to military parents, I have lived abroad in Louisiana, Arkansas and Oklahoma. Those experiences have enabled me to view different cultures and meet people from all walks of life, which have influenced my writing, along with my own personal life experience. My life is expressed through my writings. This is my first poetry novel.
