About the Author

Remi Respicio Tabangcura is the second of nine children of Franky and Rose Respicio. She was born in 1946 after World War II. She came to the United States in 1967 shortly after graduation from the University of Santo Tomas, College of Nursing, Manila, Philippines. She has always taken charge of any and all family issues and celebrations, and she continues to do so after the death of her parents. Coauthoring this book is very important in the preservation of that part of history, consequently safeguarding her father’s legacy and the legacy of World War II.
